    Accounts Payable Specialist

    Marathon Health is seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team in Winooski, VT to focus on vendor invoicing, payments, and purchasing.  The ideal candidate has meticulous attention to detail, excellent written and verbal skills, and prior accounts payable experience.

    Responsibilities

    This position will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Payable, including but not limited to:

    • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals.
    • Timely and accurately, enter and code invoices into NetSuite, the ERP system.
    • Allocate purchases to specific customers, locations, and departments.
    • Prepare invoices for payments twice a month and distribute checks or process electronic payments.
    • Ensure that no vendor accounts become past due, including but not limited to researching vendor problems.
    • Prepare and file forms 1096 and 1099 annually.
    • Coordinate and manage all office supply purchases and other requests across our 100+ locations.
    • Manage, monitor, and record all corporate credit card activity.

     In addition, this position may be asked to assist in the following as needed:

    • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings.
    • Assist with ad hoc projects and reporting.
    • Provide support for the company’s annual audit.
    • Provide back up for other finance tasks.

    Qualifications

    • Associate’s degree in Accounting.
    • 2-4 years related experience and training.
    • Keen attention to detail.
    • Ability to multi-task and work with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Critical thinker with strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook and Word.
    • Prior experience with NetSuite accounting software desired.
