We’re looking for a Family Physician with a passion for patient care and strong leadership skills to provide primary care and preventative services at our health and wellness center located on Fourth & McDowell in Charlotte, NC. 

In addition to patient care, this is an excellent opportunity to leverage your leadership skills as the Market Clinical Leader.  You will be assigned the Charlotte Marathon Health Network of health centers and will work closely with the assigned Health Center Director, Care Team Managers, and Regional Clinical Leader to provide oversight of clinical operations to assure that the organization is providing exceptional clinical service within your network market.

Patient Care - (32 hours per week)

• Providing primary care and preventative services for employees and families (ages 2+) at our near-site corporate health and wellness center
• Conducting health risk assessments
• Developing wellness education and supporting individual lifestyle changes
• Helping individuals manage their chronic conditions
• Maintaining a collaborative relationship with health center staff which can include advanced providers, behavioral health counselors, health coaches, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, medical assistants, and practice support specialists.

Market Clinical Leader - (8 hours per week)

• Assists with the assurance and oversight of quality, which includes reviewing team statistics and reviewing charts audits and other QA assessments for their assigned market.
• Performs clinical site visit assessments for their assigned market.
• Acts as an escalation point for the Client Advocate, Care Team Manager and Clinical Director in regards to clinically related escalation needs.
• Assists in the creation of clinical improvement plans for providers as needed.
• Partners with the training team to identify training needs, provide training support, and to develop resources as needed.
• Collaborates with customer as requested by Client Advocate - year-end and/or monthly or quarterly meetings, if needed.
• Provides oversight and assistance with the role out of new services or health promotion programs when being added to assigned markets.
• Promotes a positive Ambassador experience and retention.
• Assists with clinical screening for replacement staff as needed.
• Assists with go-live support for replacements as needed (including for all provider placements).
• In collaboration with Regional clinical/medical directors, reinforces regulatory compliance and quality of care/clinical outcomes.
• Audits clinical records to ensure all regulatory standards are met and looks for opportunities to improve current processes.
• Provides regulatory compliance oversight in alignment with clinical leaders, as defined by our SVP, Corporate Medical Director and VP Clinical Affairs.
• There is a weekly commitment of 8 hours of admin time per week, in addition to your regularly scheduled clinical hours, not to exceed 40 hours per week. There is a travel expectation to visit Charlotte Marathon Health Network locations on a weekly basis.

• Unrestricted medical license required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• 2 years of practice experience as a MD or DO is required, 5+ years preferred
• Passionate about the work we do at Marathon Health
• Leadership/management experience preferred
• Must have primary care/family practice experience taking care of all ages
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience required
• You should believe in making a difference and believe in quality decisions, great communication, collaboration, and instilling trust to lead a great wellness program

Marathon Health COVID-19 Testing & Vaccination Policy

• Marathon Health requires all employees (excluding PRN employees) to undergo weekly COVID-19 tests for each week during which they are scheduled to work, in lieu of proof of vaccination. As of March 1, 2022, this process has been paused due to lowered community transmission, however this may be restarted in the future. COVID-19 vaccinated employees will not require weekly testing as long as they submit their vaccination records.
• Some of our clients have recently mandated COVID-19 vaccinations for their employees. All employees of ours at onsite clinics of these clients will require mandatory vaccinations. New clients continue to be added to this list daily and we cannot guarantee that new employees of Marathon Health at onsite locations will not eventually be asked to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccinations.
• Per state laws in California, New York, Washington and Oregon, all employees working in our health centers in those states must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of employment.
