PRN Pharmacy Technician

Marathon Health is seeking a PRN Pharmacy Technician to assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist at our near-site corporate health and wellness center in St. Louis, MO. Flexibility allows you to pick up shifts whenever and wherever is convenient for you!  

 

Available Shift Times: Monday - Wednesday: 7am - 6pm; Thursday: 7am - 5pm; Friday: 7am - 4pm No weekend or late evening shifts available. 

 

*Please note that this site is open Monday-Friday and we are looking for someone with availability a few days during the weekday to pick up shifts.*

Responsibilities

As a PRN Pharmacy Technician, you will assist in preparing prescription medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.  You will also oversee the acquisition of medications and pharmacy supplies and perform administrative duties such as answering phones, ringing up member purchases, and stocking inventory and supplies.  You will also follow methods and manner of storage and recordkeeping systems to provide for the safekeeping of pharmaceuticals.  Lastly, you will follow established policies and procedures to work in clinic environment involving possible exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations that require safety precautions and may include use of personal protective equipment.  

Qualifications

 

  • At least 2 years total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year community and/or clinical pharmacy work experience
    • At least 1 year additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
  • High School Diploma
  • Pharmacy Technician - State Board (required where available) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) (required where state-issued license is not available) - Multiple Issuers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Health Care, or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Multiple Issuers
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board
